We're sorry that things are taking so long for us to get the album out to you guys and girls.
The album is right now being mastered by Eroc (www.eroc.de.) The reason the mastering has been taking a while is we've been sending ideas back and forth on how we want the album to sound. We came to a conclusion about a week ago but then came Christmas and the holidays. We can only hope that you all understand we're taking this long because we want the album to be perfect when it finally does come out.
We hope you've had a wonderful Christmas and that 2011 will be all you wish it to be. Thank you for your patience.

Wolverine has a new homepage coming up. On Friday this week, sometime during the evening, the new homepage will be up and running. Initially, the homepage will not be perfectly complete, but we will put effort into adding stuff and making proper touch-ups as soon as we can – we are just eager to give you something new to look at after having waited far too long. We hope that an incomplete homepage will suffice for the time being.

With only a few weeks to go, we're somewhat preparing for the upcoming gig at the Rockweekend festival. Wolverine will be the opening act on Saturday, 11 July, at 16.20. The gig will last 40 minutes and we will present material from the last three albums, plus a piece from our upcoming album Communication Lost. We hope that at least some of our fans will be able to get to Rockweekend and support us! For those of you who don't know this, bands like Queensrÿche, Nightingale, Dimmu Borgir, Edguy and Napalm Death will play at Rockweekend the same evening as Wolverine.

Our bassplayer, Thomas Jansson, recently recorded the bass tracks on Griftegård's upcoming album which is to be released in September this year. Griftegård, a doom metal band from Norrköping, Sweden, invited Thomas to participate in the process of making this album after a rather quick and unforseen situation which led to the original bassplayer parting ways with the band. When former Wolverine guitarist Per Broddesson, now member of Griftegård, asked whether Thomas could come to Norrköping and help out, there was no way he was going to miss the opportunity to work with a band that he highly appreciates. Thomas will join Griftegård on the Hamburg gig due 18 July, where they will play together with The Devil's Blood.

It is now confirmed that Wolverine will play at the Rockweekend festival in Kilafors, Sweden. We are happy to be a part of this rather new event in the line of European rock and metal festivals, and we really look forward to sharing our music with you once again! Although we will be pressed for time while on stage, we aim at playing at least one of the new songs from our upcoming album Communication Lost.
Other bands that will appear on Rockweekend 2009 are Dimmu Borgir, Edguy, D-A-D, LA Guns, Napalm Death, Nightingale, Arch Enemy and many more.
For further information about this event, check out the tour-section.

It has been a long time since we last updated this homepage. We want to say we are sorry about this, and we are looking to better ourselves when it comes to regular updates.
Time flies and there are numerous things to attend to in life: full time jobs and full time education; family life as well as social life in general—you all know how the story goes, right? As you might know we have not been very productive the past few years, and after the summer of 2008 we pretty much decided to part ways and discontinue further activities in the name of Wolverine. The band was no longer to be. Even though we had already begun to work with new material for a future album release, we felt that it was a pointless struggle to continue. There was simply too much conflict and too little dedication regarding Wolverine. And considering the positive reception Still had earned in several reviews and from our dedicated fans all over the world, we felt that at least we could put an end to the band’s misery and still (!) be satisfied with what we had accomplished.
However, we decided upon a change of direction. During the rehearsals for the upcoming gigs at ProgPower Europe 2008, we had such a good time! It was such a blast to just play together, and it felt like such a waste just to throw everything away and terminate the band. As it turns out we agreed upon trying to make things work and make an effort to put more energy into working with Wolverine. Being on stage during the ProgPower festival also served as great motivation to us—playing in Baarlo, once again, was a fantastic experience! For those of you who came to the show to see us perform: thank you for being there!
Right now we are working on the upcoming album titled Communication Lost. Some of the songs have been lying around for quite some time now, and we are eager to finalise the basic structures of the material and record it as soon as we possibly can. We promise to provide more information as we are progressing. Thank you for staying with us!

Once again we are sorry to say that we have been forced to cancel an upcoming gig.
The reason for the cancellation is that Stefan's daughter was born with a heartcondition. She didn't need immediate surgery at birth but now she's taken a turn for the worse so Stefan and his family will travel to Gothenburg which is one of two cities in Sweden that are able to perform the surgery needed. They will be in Gothenburg over the next weekend and that's when the gig was supposed to take place.
We hope and believe you all will understand that we really don't have any other choice than to cancel. Hopefully we will be able to schedule another show in Sweden in the near future. If not, there's always ProgPower to look forward to.

We are happy to announce that we will once again play at the ProgPower Europe festival. This time will be very special since we're playing two sets. On Sunday, October 5th, we'll play a "regular" one hour-set and two days before that, on October 3rd, we'll play the set we played when we opened the first edition of the festival back in 1999. This means that the set on Friday will be very "retro". It's gonna be very exciting for us to rediscover songs we haven't played in several years and hopefully our audience will think the same. See you there!
